A wrestler died during a fight in India's Uttar Pradesh.
A video of the incident that took place on Sept 2 in Faridpur village of Thakurdwara Kotwali area in Moradabad has surfaced on social media.
In the video, wrestler Mahesh was seen fighting Sajid, a local wrestler, in a match. As the match began, Sajid picked up Mahesh and slammed him on the ground, putting pressure on his neck.
As the spectators cheered and clapped, Mahesh blacked out. Sajid tried to wake up Mahesh as he remained unconscious on the ground. Later, people gathered there and tried to lift Mahesh and moved his neck to fix it but he remained unmoved.
He was later declared dead and the body was handed over to his relatives.
It has not yet been determined whether Mahesh died due to his neck being broken during the fight or some other reason. Local police said they have received no information about the incident.

It falls under general exceptions in Indian law like when both parties are consenting for a legal act like boxing which If results in injury which may cause death it won't be considered a murder unless there was malafide intention involved or rules of the fight were disregarded with the aim of causing unjust harm to another that in proper cases wouldn't have happened which was not the case here as these fights do have rules which allow for such takedowns but this one was executed wrongly resulting in this(not a crime) also the same way a doctor can't be held liable for murder if a surgery went wrong and here also unless it wasn't due to any medical negligence ....the police can always arrest on basis of culpable homicide not amounting to murder but eventually the accused can be absolved due to the general exceptions clause
