Abusive men that are on the path to being psychopaths and narcissist tend to be the ones in these situations, the reason why is that they have an integrated belief and even a complex that's summed down to "I am right and god like, so I don't care" basically the thoughts the guy was having was a mix of pure rage confusion and violence as well as righteousness and pride if a person like that hits you its one of a couple of things 1. Death 2. You deserved it in their head 3. It's your fault 4. A repeat either way most women or even kids end up dead alone or severely abused because of them as someone who as a child in what was something similar to this it does not matter if you are a child their wife their son or daughter they are a godlike deity that you must obey and respect and even fear
