It looks like he was stabbing him up, doesn't it? The knife appears to be very short, maybe a 4 inch blade, probably not very sharp. The attacker went directly for the intended victim's neck with it, but it didn't seem to do anything... and then the humble shopkeeper revealed that he is secretly a badass who will take a man's own weapon from him and kill him with it.

Yes, judging by the look of the attacker, I'd say the shopkeeper did a bloody good job ! He's lucky too (or an actual badass) because some of the stabbing videos on here go from nothing to bleeding out in a couple of seconds or less. If the attacker survives, he can probably expect to be put to some hard labour in prison - I do not imagine a Chinese prison to be chock full of creature comforts.
