My first job was in Security. We were on nightmarish 12 to 16 hour shifts.
Thankfully we operated in pairs, so we could always grab 4 hours in a locked room with a radio next to our ears and have our buddy cover the cameras.
Were we supposed to do that? Nope. Did it keep us from killing ourselves on the way home? Probably. Did I ever get woken up by my radio for some shit going down? Yessiree. Nothing bad happened.
Never post a guard alone. They'll be better as a team no matter whether you like it or not.
