A young man lost his life on Saturday after receiving a severe blow to the head during a land dispute in the mountain of Azacualpa, east of Francisco Morazán.The man was identified as Kevin Garay, 23 years old, who died in the Hospital Escuela as a result of the strong blow he received from a supposedly purged policeman who, according to preliminary data, was upset with the measurement of the land.
A video recorded by the victim's partner shows how the attacker -with a shovel in his hand- hit him in the head.
The young man reportedly had a brain seizure after the blow, so his relatives quickly took him to the health care center. However, the authorities announced his death today in the afternoon.
Agents of the National Police were present at the scene to investigate the incident and apprehend the person responsible.
The detainee - identified as Fabricio Zerón (32 years old), former officer of the National Police - has already been presented before the corresponding prosecutor's office to face charges of murder against Kevin Garay.

Una familia se encontraba midiendo un terreno en la montaña de Azacualpa, al oriente de Francisco Morazán y registró el momento del cobarde ataque.
El ahora fallecido identificado como Kevin Garay, había recibido un fuerte golpe de un policía depurado que se molestó al ver la medición del terreno. El atacante volvió con su pala y por la espalda golpeó al joven dejándolo completamente inerte.
Tras el horrible golpe, el joven de inmediato comenzó a convulsionar y no recobró más el conocimiento. Lo peor es que el muchacho ni siquiera participó en discusión alguna, pues según el audio del video, quienes estaban enfrascadas en un cruce de señalamientos eran dos mujeres, una de cada bando, la víctima solo ayuda agachado a sostener una cinta para proceder a la demarcación, siendo allí en esa posición que recibió el golpe por la espalda.
