Man gets beaten to death by the liquor mafia

A man in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district was recently beaten to death allegedly by a liquor mafia for not purchasing liquor from the outlet being operated by them. The incident has sparked a loud political controversy in the state now, with the opposition targeting the BJP government.

A group of people, on May 14, forcefully took the victim Rameshwar Valmiki to a secluded place while he was returning home and attacked him, according to the police. He was hung upside down and brutally beaten up.

After Valmiki fell unconscious, he was taken to a private hospital in Haryana where he was declared dead. Thereafter, the accused allegedly threw his body outside his home.
