I deleted my comment because I said I thought he had robbed someone... and he did! I didn't think it was wrong kkkk. well, from what they say in the video, at a certain point they say he stole a boy's mother. And then they say they have to kill him, that anyone who robs residents of the region has to die. now my point of view: look, to be honest, I don't get the reason for these residents. they are right. the laws here in Brazil favor the bandits a lot. just to give you an example, the police arrest today, and depending on the case, the criminal is free tomorrow. the media here in Brazil also exonerates the criminal a lot and accuses the police a lot. the bandits force the population to protest when there are police incursions into the favela, etc. So, I thought it was right to kill, because that's the only way to frighten anyone who decides to steal there. it's like a death penalty for stealing. if they called the police, surely the sheriff would release this boy from prison. It's a huge mistake! here in Brazil a few years ago a phrase came up: a good bandit is a dead bandit. and many residents took this phrase literally. so whenever there's a robbery, someone always tries to do something to stop it (it's not always, but when it happens justice is taken into their own hands). even here in São Paulo where I live, the police are very energetic (you have no idea), they are really efficient! and yet here it is also violent in terms of theft (because it was as I said, the police arrest, and justice releases). there in Rio the police often kill the bandits instead of arresting them. So much so that the São Paulo police have cameras in their vests to repress police violence, and in Rio the governor himself does not implement this, because it is better to kill and solve than to arrest.

If its a gang controlled area isnt their a lesser chance of cops doing anything?

Ive heard this is why eye for a eye is so prvelant in some especially remote small communities

so, nowadays, anywhere in Brazil is controlled by drug trafficking and criminal factions, and some little-known places are coordinated by neighborhood gangs. I don't know where this video took place, if I wouldn't bring you more details. But from their accent it seems that it was in the northern region of Brazil. Look, I believe in one thing, that maybe because the video takes place in an area of high forest, a lot of mud and grass, I believe it is a small village. perhaps the traffic nor the factions can be present there. Most likely there are only robberies. I think the number of robberies in this region is high, because the way the bandit in the video died, it just makes me think that these residents are tired of going through the same thing. If the location in the video was dominated by drug trafficking, perhaps the drug dealers themselves would kill this guy, for he steals in a place that has a stronghold of drug sales (because this makes the region poorly spoken and fails to attract future buyers of drugs). Well, I've already told you the first fact that he might have died for. The second may be that the inconsistency of robberies is so high and the village or village may be in an isolated place on the map, that the police themselves cannot solve everything there in that region.

I also think! for some time now, the people have also been very angry and have started to take justice into their own hands.
