Fucked up videos. I understand the frustration with homeless people and drug addicts, but this is probably not the solution...

There's a lot to be learned from these videos, though. The kids were remarkably skilled at disabling, controlling, and killing people. Of course, they were targeting people who were not exactly physically fit, who were probably drunk or on drugs, malnourished, etc.. But pay attention to how they begin almost all of their attacks- a swift kick to the jaw.

In combat sports, there are three major "buttons" on the human skull- the tip of the chin, and the jaw just below the ear. They call them "buttons" because if you hit someone cleanly there, it's like you hit their "off switch", often leads to a KO. At the least, it'll shake the brain up and stun a person.

They also use pepper spray as a way to greatly weaken their victims.

Lessons from these videos: Random violence is very hard, if not impossible, to defend against. The best self-defense tool you have is not a gun, not a knife, not your fists- IT'S BEING AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. There's a few of these videos where the killers are sort of circling around and sizing up their target. The target is blissfully unaware (perhaps intoxicated, perhaps just not paying attention) of the kid closing in on them from behind, camera in one hand and pepper spray in another.

Always keep your head on a fucking swivel. It's better to be a little paranoid, than to be totally ignorant and end up like one of the poor bastards in these videos. Stay safe out there, people.

The homeless folks on the videos are not on drugs, they are drunk. Unfortunately for Russia alcoholism is a huge problem and drunk men sleeping on the streets are very common. I've seen of them a lot when I lived there, especially in summer
