There was a video that sicarios went into a village were randomly beating/killing the villagers. I hope this is in retaliation.

As far as my knowledge, the sicarios went into the village because the villagers were trying to stand up against extortion. So they went in there to "teach them a lesson" and that was gonna happen to anyone who didnt comply.
