That's the way I understood it, I'm BG it was a two part video, the second half was her mother crying as her body was pulled from a shallow grave, you can see her yellow shorts and mutilated face, supposedly she was hit by a shovel. Maybe this poster only saved the first video. The second one, you could see the yellow shorts and it was blurred with just screaming and crying. The newscaster reporting she was mutilated by an unknown gang.

I've taken blows like that to the head from steel and concrete in industrial accidents and I would say what saved me from similar consequences was my neck stopping my skull from bouncing around as much as hers did. She doesn't seem like a very strong person and while all head injuries that involve decorticate posturing are serious, she is probably less resilient to injury than an athlete would be.

I think I should have walked it back a little, idk about "never remotely the same" but I would be really surprised if there were no significant neurological consequences to head trauma resulting in both decorticate posturing and what looked like a tonic-clonic seizure.

I was also surprised when I looked into it. It seems less than 40% of people who experience it live, but my experience with it has always been with athletes who probably have a far better outlook than the average person suffering a similar injury. Many of the effects of even serious concussions, when they are not fatal, can be more subtle than immediate personality changes or intellectual impairments, but that doesn't mean they aren't significant.
