He was definitely conscious for a few seconds post-decap. If the executioner had picked up the head faster it would have been better, but still. That fucker looked down and realized his body was missing! I have seen this clip many times.

there probably is some sort of consciousness briefly after a clean beheading, but i highly doubt you can see or feel anything. its sort of like when you stand up too fast and your vision goes really blurry. imagine that but your blood pressure is literally 0.
