I obtained this footage from a DVD rip of a Russian documentary about the First Chechen War, "Чечня ХХ век. Террор." or "Chechnya 20th century. Terrоr." It was released in 2002.
This documentary also contains what is most likely the highest quality footage of OFEX up to date.
Funnily enough, the user on VK that posted this DVD rip appears to be a porn spam channel.

look at what he's wearing (it's not a combat uniform), compare the pics, it's pretty obvious its him, they look 80% like the same person.

I'm not saying he's Russian, you keep saying that and I don't know why. What I am saying is that you don't know who this person is. You have zero proof. Yet multiple times you have claimed with certainty that you know it's this Darren person. Plenty of people were beheaded in the Chechen war and there are no identifying features to prove any connection between Darren and the person on film. There's no scars, blemishes, moles, freckles to identify between them and to be fair both people are very generic looking Caucasian dudes. What if Darren's family saw the rumours you are spreading?

That's fair, I keep saying he is russian because when I first watched the video it was literally called "Unknown russian soldier" instead of "Chechclear" and that's what most people who watched it then (and even now) assumes but there is no proof of this either or just as much proof that it is him, As for the relatives, I didn't just make this rumor up, Its been out there, I found out about it years ago. Everything your saying is right though and I can respect and won't argue with it.
