26 yo Juliana (Jully) Pires moved to Salvador about 7 months before her death. She was previously living in a few neighbourhoods of Itabuna (São Pedro, Urbis IV, California and São Caetano) - lying around 220 km S in a straight line. She has already been arrested for involvement in a drug trafficking in Itabuna.
Videos first appeared on WhatsApp on 15th of May 2015. Version here is a merged one, on Documenting Reality both were posted separately. Initially, an exact reason for the murder was unknown. Juliana was often seen around either drug dealers or users in Itabuna. It's possible that she got romantically involved with someone in Salvador. Juliana's sister was still living in Itabuna, and was contacted to come to the Technical Police Department in Salvador to confirm the woman's identity.

Why do you think so? Just asking, I've only paid attention to facial expressions, breathing (which seem to stop after 1:30) and possible reactions when certain spots were hit, so it's interesting to know what others looked for.

Imo her neck looked broken from the start. I saw no voluntary movement or anything defensive. The breathing in the beginning was sharp, deep, and intermittent (agonal breathing).
Empathy might be influencing my judgment; this video was brutal. I hope she was not conscious to experience this.

So I agree with you; also noticed lack of facial expressions and any movements other than involuntary. Too unresponsive even for a drugged person. I don't have problems with too deep empathy, it works different for me, though. The more emotions, the better, and this one seemed brutal, but a bit boring emotion-wise. I hope this comment makes at least sense, it's written after allnighter so grammar / reasoning may go chaotic.

Watch it slowly at 1:25. She's reacting. I'm not sure if it's agonal breathing or what. But, she's clearly moving on her own while they're standing and talking. God, I hope she isn't conscious there.

OK, got some sleep so can think better now. Yeah, I mentioned in the comment to
@Radiobunny there's a sound around 1:30 that makes me wonder if she didn't get out of shock for a short while. Here it seems like there's a facial expression, especially looking at the eyes. Around 1:30 to 1:32, there's a quiet sound - soft, quiet, a bit pourring, really can't find the best words to describe it. But I don't want to overinterpret its meaning, harder to interpret when distorted because of the slashed throat.

For me it's far better to keep analizing. Emotional part is safer, I don't like to watch stabbing the abdomen (and even more - chest) far more, honestly.
