Eye's Moving After Decapitation

Some people estimate that you could remain conscious for up to 30 seconds tops after a clean beheading. And what an absolutely fuckin wild 30 seconds that would be. If I got to choose how I die, I'd want an old-timey guillotine execution complete with a crowd of seething peasants. I'd just ask them to pick my head up and show me my own body so I can finally see that weird birthmark on my back without a mirror. Then they can throw me into the crowd.

Worth mentioning that eye movement does not indicate consciousness. It does indicate that total brain death hasn't occurred yet. Total brain death can be tested by irrigating the inner ear with water, which activates an eye movement reflex from side to side.

It was lights out for this guy pretty much as soon as his head came off and cerebral blood pressure dropped, but this does indicate that he was still technically alive.

To be honest since the person was just beheaded the brain is still awake. So its not unlikely.

In 1800s, France, a doctor researching death believed the head was still alive after decapitation for about 30-60 seconds, to proove this he requested permission from the king to stand beside the guillotine so as soon as the head fell into the basket he could pick it up and talk to it. The king denied the request.

Must be crazy to experience that. I figure there would be no pain because the entire nervous system is basically "unplugged?" I dont know.

Reminds me of beheading I watched on bestgore. After 30 seconds passed the decapitated head is grasping for air and about 1 min he stopped. Can't find the video again unfortunately

While he wouldn't be conscious for long, I think he would have been aware for a second, not much more. Maybe a second and a half. I find it a bit hard to believe that, even with a complete loss of blood pressure, it would be "instant lights out."

whats happening here is quite simple really: Sure the head has been detached from the body but the brain electrical receptors i.e the thing in you brain that tell your body what to do like, breathe, talk, bleed etc, are still active so he technically isn't dead {yet} but he might as well be in other words he's alive but he sure as shit not conscious....................................nah but straight up that nigga just butt fuckin dead.
