Not everyone or everywhere. We have lots of amazing places to live here. Public security is a problem in our country but mostly in big towns like Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. We have cities here with european padrons and other like Haiti.

Yeah, lotta folk think these places are 100% dangerous, but the country is stable and exists. They want tourist money, so tourists are "usually" safe from the real bad things. Theyl straight up kill tourist killers and the like, even gangs. Tourists who are dead can't buy drugs every time they visit or bring friends to buy drugs.

You're right when you say about tourism. Here the government has deals with gangs to stay away from tourists but there are other safe places with stable security and economy in the countryside, its a heterogeneous country and violence is related to schoolarity and lack of other opportunities. Here we have places like Europe,i can name Petropolis, Teresopolis and some cities in Rio de Janeiro. The violence ain't deliberated here as foregneirs use to think, its concentrated in big cities and the north and north east regions of Brazil

Oh absolutely, ive been around the world a bit and even in "dangerous" areas I have never felt unsafe. Aint no one gonna hurt a random tourist for a shitty travel cell phone and small bills of local currency. The cops will show up and be mad. The gang I was gonna buy drugs from will be mad. The civilians who want tourists to buy food at their store will be mad.
No one likes that. That said, talk shit, be stupid, etc, who knows? I make sure Im not.
