For backstory, he was a 37 year old who stopped for a treat with his wife and 3 year old daughter….. wife went inside while they waited outside and he allegedly told the 32 year old Indian dude not to smoke next to his daiughter (we have bylaws here I think you have to be 6m from any doorways/air intakes and can’t smoke on patios etc) …. And got stabbed as a result
since covid hit we’ve been circling the drain and getting worse and worse, with a literal joke of a justice system that is a revolving door. You agree to appear in court at a later date and you’re out on the street sometimes within hours. We’ve had a ton of stranger attacks lately often times resulting in their deaths

Rumor is that the victim asked him to stop vaping in the store as he was holding his daughter, a confrontation escalated until this is how it ended. So sad but damn way better to avoid trouble than they to micro manage, the vape wasn't hurting his daughter or he could have just went outside. Instead he picked a fight, now he lays there dying in front of his wife and baby daughter, a happy new family now broken and he won't get to enjoy another moment with his wife or kid, likely was his last realization... Sad

Damn I didn't even realize, if you slow down the vid when the guy is running up you can see his wife and daughter right outside. What a fuckin nightmare, can see the wife watching the camera man yelling to call the cops, yet he just stands there and films.
It's true that we have no idea how it escalated, guy is twice his size and looks thuggish, vaping in a store and he's probably looking for a fight. There was probably some back and forth exchanges as well. Best to just leave those types of people and walk away. Especially if you are with kids. Not to blame the victim but goddamn it's just sad

He also stuck his head up at the end, probably wondering if anyone was coming to his aid yet no one was. This also reminds me, I saw just as much if not even more blood spew out of someone during a few hockey games, when every medic was on site they were able to save him. I think the guy had a very good chance at survival had people actually gave first aid, apply pressure and limit as much blood loss as possible until ems arrives.
