A crowd lynched a woman who was identified as an alleged hitman who was blamed for the murder of a motorcycle taxi driver. Official reports indicated that a woman accompanied by two subjects killed the driver of a motorcycle taxi, identified as Carlos Enrique Gonzalez Noriega, 68. When the villagers captured the alleged hitmen, they took justice into their own hands, bypassing the authorities. In a video that was released, the young woman can be seen being beaten and burned to death.

If I remember the original story correctly, she was only 15 or 16 years old.

She was actually 14. Her name was Bedelyn Esther Orozco Gómez. The problem with the story while it did involve the murder of someone the actual details were never confirmed. One version she is the daughter of a drug lord and the guy killed was involved with him being sent to prison, the second version she and two other carried out the hit for not paying protection money and she was the bait to lure this scooter taxi driver to the location and the third is she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and the mob just accused her and there was some kind of cover-up.
Many believe now it's the third version. Seeing how the police did basically nothing to stop it. Afterwards the "investigation" was basically nothing. They just confirmed the video was real and that was the end of it. They never looked into who the other two guys were hinting at bribing or threatening and no one was arrested that was involved in her death. It was recorded and the town that it happened in isn't big and I'm guessing everyone in the video was the entire town yet again no one was arrested.
