Apparently the dude was pressuring his wife to have “illicit relationships” and she refused.
I don’t see how you get from there to murder. But it makes even less sense for him to murder her like that.
Sounds like the dude completely lost his mind somewhere along the line. A murder in the heat of passion is one thing, but this, with your children watching…? He must have lost his mind over something, this isn’t just an every day argument gone bad.
