Firefighters are heroes for a reason. I don't consider myself a coward or weak willed but the thought of regularly rushing into a fire makes me shudder.

Football players should just earn a burger flipper's wage.

Why not? Burger flippers actually serve some purpose on this earth. Football players do not.

Do you seriously need to be explained why football players and burger flippers will never be paid the opposite?

No, I don't, since there's no justification for it other than that there are people stupid enough to generate sports teams and commentators revenue to watch meatheads fight over a pigskin for a few hours.

This took place on the 28th of October 2014, in the forestal fire of Guachipas, Salta.
It was a forest fire, no chemicals nor anything like that was involved, the fire just went wild and got them before they could escape. 4 people died in that fire.
The video surfaced around 2015 because this person's brother found it on the firefighter's cellphone at that time.

If the brush is very dry and it is a very windy day, those fires can spread a lot faster than people might assume.
Why on earth would he post something like that online if it was his brother?
May they all rest in peace.

It can literally change from cozy forest to flaming inferno where everything is on fire in seconds.
Check out this video from inside a forest fire:

This is so ugly. He started to scream before the fire even startet and you can see in the video how hot it becomes.

Crazy. It looked like those trees were smoking from the heat well before the flames even came close to them.
How did they even record that at those temperatures? Convince a T-800 Terminator to go sit out in the woods and watch?

That’s what people underestimate a lot supposedly, the heat a forest fire puts off from how far away.

he died really quickly it seems though, so that's good ig.
or his lungs got so full of fire and smoke that he just couldn't scream anymore and just laid there, in the heat, stuck silently screaming for help.

wait is that him walking around on fire in the back?
Jump in the discussion.
No email address required.
Yup. He doesn't die "instantly" at 30 seconds, that's him dropping the camera and the roar of flames dominating the audio. You can just about see him walking around making whimpering noises for a further 25 seconds, at which point he's not dead but probably doesn't feel anything after the shock of severe burns has settled in.
Forest fires like that don't grant the mercy of death by smoke inhalation, as you and the things around you are what is burning to cause the smoke. If you're "lucky" your brain shuts down after getting too hot and you pass away while unconscious.

I've been fighting wildfires for 5 seasons now. Everyone always asks me if I'm afraid of being burned up. Obviously that is the worst case scenario and we see that in this video. However the thing I am most afraid of on the fire line is falling trees and branches. That shit is silent and will crush the hell out of you before you even know whats happening. RIP to all the good men that have lost their lives fighting wildfires.

I remember lighting a small dry grass plant on fire once and literally half of it was incinerated in a second.
