The mass killing comes as Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador continues to claim to have decreased violence and ended criminals acting in his country. The burning took place in a rural area near the San Miguel de Totolapan community in the Mexican state of Guerrero. This has been shown by various videos cartel gunmen shared on social media. More than 15 bodies can be seen in the videos, however investigators only recovered a dozen. A man is heard yelling, “Send me more,” as he fires a rifle at the burning bodies and then at the ground. Others join in as one shouts, “So they don't come back to life!”.
