Hugo Figueroa was the nephew of famous Mexican singer Joan Sebastian. He was kidnapped by 7 armed men in Plaza de Toros "La Aurora", located in the municipality of Tarímbaro, Michoacán. Those involved in the killing are members of “La Gente del Cerro” an armed wing of Los Viagras cartel. It’s speculated that Hugo had ties to rival cartel CJNG.

During the morning of Friday, around 8:00 in the morning, four bodies were found on the side of the road in the state of Guerrero, which were accompanied by several messages from criminal groups.

The terrible discovery was made on the side of the Iguala-Ciudad Altamirano federal highway in the vicinity of the community of Ahuehuepan within the municipality of Iguala.

Three of the bodies belonged to males and the fourth to a female. In turn, three of them were dismembered . Some of the remains were stacked together with the heads.

Elements of the National Defense Secretariat ( Sedena ) attended the scene, along with state police officers, agents of the Guerrero State Attorney General's Office ( FGE ) and members of the National Guard ( GN ).
