When someone kills another human, the killer will have nightmares of the victim and ask questions such as "why?" As for a moment the brain regrets it and knows we shouldn't kill our own kind. "This isn't how its supposed to work" is what I think the brain says

I agree but I think most killers are psychotic and have no conscience or feelings about it so it wouldn't matter to them If it was 1 or 100 people they kill.

Psychopaths and killers usually suffer from a certain mental illness or disease or childhood trauma because remember that it depends on the environment you were born in how your brain sill functions.
And about the term "conscious" someone who is conscious is someone who feels and think and thinks. People who are insane which are unconscious do not feel or think or think due to many mental problems. Remember that your mentality is stronger than your physical health.
