It was my first live television of alot of death, made in impact on me. And eventually brought me to these kind of sites. I thought alot about the people that jumped. How could you make a desiccion to jump, and make a 10sec free fall before you splatter on a sidewalk, how could jumping be the best option?
I dont think allot of people just gave up and jumped. I dont think you could make the decission to burn or jump, while you are standing at a safe place for that moment in time.
I believe the fire pushed most of them out of the building. The heat above the fire must have been very intense, and slowly building up. Suffocating would have been a luxary.
Im sure some people saw it for what it was a made a decission, eather to jump or run in to the fire and see how far you get. Some people must have run in to the fire, their screems could have been horrible. You dont burn and die in 10 horrible seconds, you do after a 10sec freefal. There multiple couples holding each other when they jumped, those where people that didnt want to wait on the inevitable.
Why blame someone that jumps out of the highest buildng in the world when the other option is burn to death. Why blame a victim in any way?
