Probably not the infamous and lost "LOL SUPERMAN" video.
but in 0:19 you can see a red mist, idk if its a jumper or a debris.

I can’t imagine choosing to jump or be burned alive. If they had those inflatable things on the ground I’d jump.

As high as they were, I would have jumped. Would be way quicker and less painful than burning up or choking to death from the smoke.

Plus it would be a pretty sick last hurrah. Can't say they never went sky diving before they died

It wasn't just the thought of burning alive. Imagine how hot it must have felt up there during that hour. Smoke making the upper floors unbreathable. They not only knew they were going to be burned alive, but they were already starting to suffocate in desperation. Believe it or not, the fresh air brought to them during those 10-ish seconds of fall were like a liberation for them in some twisted form. They took the 0.0000000001% chance of surviving the fall over the 100% chance of burning alive because of that.

There's no chance anyone would survive that fall. 92nd floor and up in the North Tower and 78th floor and up in the South Tower, around 1,300 and 1,000 feet up high respectively. No way anyone could survive that falling on concrete or asphalt.

I wrote "0.0000000001%" for a reason. There is a story shared here in WPD in another 9/11 thread, a paramedic whose job was to put tags on bodies for other paramedics to work on, apparently he saw a woman who fell from the towers in agony and with her legs destroyed, but still alive and conscious for a brief moment. Those poor people above the impact areas really had no choice, unironically I think the only lucky ones during 9/11 where the ones inside the North Tower (and Pentagon too) who died immediately upon impact, they suffered the least.

Holy crap I can't imagine the fear of the fall followed by that excruciating pain instead of dying immediately. That's awful. But shows how our flimsy bodies can sometimes withstand a lot. Like people getting stabbed or shot dozens of times yet surviving. Humans are weird.

Suffocation wouldn’t be so bad. It would still lead me to jump I believe.

You’d fly right through those inflatables at that velocity.

And that's even if you hit them. Good luck hitting the target from that height.
