Hey I found this and I can only think the degloving is usually unintentional skin separation and flaying is def intentional. A degloving injury is a traumatic injury that results in the top layers of skin and tissue being torn away from the underlying muscle, connective tissue or bone. Flaying, also known colloquially as skinning, is a method of slow and painful execution in which skin is removed from the body. Generally, an attempt is made to keep the removed portion of skin intact.
We didn’t see how the head happened but it does look more like flaying imo.
