Crazy. This is one of the reasons I feel like WPD should be allowed on Reddit. This is such a good lesson for all of us to keep our eyes peeled at public pools. It's so easy to just think a kid is swimming, but if we watched them for more than 2 seconds we'd see they weren't coming up for air.

I think that several of them WATCHED him drown. You can see it when the camera angle switches. The big fat guy wading water, the other guy that walks right past him drowning, the big fat guy comes back to watch him drown so more and you can literally see him look over to the left to see the kid and act like he didn’t notice, then there’s the lady? That he got close to and she just acted like she didn’t notice, and then father with the 2 kids that swim right by him but somehow don’t notice?? This video must have been filmed in China. Every video I see from China the don’t act phased or even care when someone gets hurt in front of them. This shit is so appalling. You can’t pretend to not see a kid drowning when you’re right near the kid! And when I’m in a pool I’m constantly paying attention and I don’t even have a child of my own.

I’m always hyper aware when I’m swimming. I’m a good swimmer, but you just never know what could happen. I watch everyone and everything.. maybe it’s because of WPD, but I’m always watching everyone and everything around me.

I do that too, but before WPD. I started watching kid’s cautiously in the pool and other places when I became an aunt. It made me become a lot more aware of my surroundings and dangerous situations when I was with kids.
