thought the same thing - he went that far by swimming. Most drownings we see the victim apparently can't swim and doesn't stray far from the place they dipped. Either this guy suffered some kind of panic attack and being poor swimmer he was not able to gather himself or he had some health issue - not specifically something fatal like a stroke, but sometimes cramping of some kind can incapacitate inexperienced swimmers.

I read these before I finished. He audible yells as if in pain before his head started going under. He swam out fine, but couldn't swim back? Still waters too.

He deffonately got tiered. Since they were racing, he spent all his energy at the start, thats why he went so fast, but then got tiered.
