You're both wrong. definitely some parents want to kill their child, even drown their children, but unwanted deaths can indeed be prevented with just a single witness, even an older to alert others. And I believe plenty of school shooters have been prevented by emotionally intelligent parents being involved, and many have been created by neglectful parents being involved. still others have absent parents, or good parents, but terrible other social circles or circumstances
