Well done, it's a great thing to learn. I feel everyone should learn how to swim, just like we made reading and writing a mandatory thing. It would help save lives and it's usually pretty fun. I love swimming. I just don't like saltwater much anymore because my hair is like 3 feet long and when it dries it fucks up my hair.
But really, good on you and your parents. It's a vital survival skill. They'll be better off for it, and if it comes to it, may even be able to save a life of someone drowning. That's really dangerous though.

A sea is usually a large body of saltwater partially surrounded by landmasses. Oceans however surround landmasses, is a simple way to put it. So they're all connected but geographically the terms to describe them differ. I always thought they were the same.
