Well that's fucked.

"The two-year-old's mum left him unattended for six minutes while she went to the toilet.

The tragedy happened at a baby accessories shop - owned by the tot's mother - in Xuzhou District, which is in the city of Yibin in south-western China."

Was the nearest bathroom a quarter mile away? Was she shitting her brains out and immediately restarting the process each time by cascading shit as soon as she was finished wiping? Six fucking minutes?? Couldn’t take the damn kid out to keep him either nearby or at least out of the water in the meantime? She’s probably done this before is my guess.

What a negligent fuck. Now she gets to live with the torment for the rest of her life.

In this day & age you do tend to take your phone with you everywhere, bathroom included, I know I spend a good amount of my shitting time browsing WPD, definitely spend more than 6 minutes doing so. She could have been browsing shit, sending messages, watching shit, etc; still fucked, though.

I suppose that puts me in the minority, as I actually even have some degree of pride in taking care of my business as quickly as possible and never being one of these who dwells on the shitter for longer than need be. I mean, even anything above two minutes and change or so is too long for me personally.

But yes, it’s still fucked up, even more so if she was casually taking her sweet time in the bathroom with that kid left unattended. I’m not a parent myself and even I know refraining from leaving your child unsupervised in a pool/body of water is a major violation of Parenting 1101
