I think its just a numbers thing.... India and china have a shit ton on people so its only natural that a shit ton of drowning videos come from India and china, but i also think you're right and they don't ever learn to swim over there. I think Swimming lessons is a western world thing....

You're right on some topics, but Ecuador, Venezuela, and Mexico aren't even close to India or chinas population combined, yet most of the videos here are form those countries, drown rates are high in India, compared to other countries, and with the population that's insanely many people that drown every year, but the reason is because of expectations, and the placing of the country, in Venezuela, or any of the named countries, Stealing, murders, kidnappers,gangs, and shooting rates are high, because of the poor currency, in India, there is no bodies of water besides the ocean, so kids in India don't learn how to swim, because there (usually) no need to know how to swim, which is the reason for this topic to be mostly videos from India, (I'm bored, I wanted to write something, and I know it could've me about 4 hundred letters shorter.)

Yes.
In the village or very small cities, mostly everyone is a good swimmer as kids are tough nuts and like to spend time swimming at the Canals but in cities, hardly anyone is a good swimmer and most of the schools in cities dont have a swimming pool too so during the growing up years, they miss out on that. Rich people can swim, mostly, as they have access to clubs and or Hotel memberships.

Depending on where in India you are from swimming is definitely not much of a thing. There aren't really any public pools or anything, so if you come from a dry region with little in the way of lakes/rivers or ocean then chances are you don't know how to swim. A lot of northerners typically don't know how to swim.
