The electrocution of a 23-year-old woman and her nine-month-old daughter near the Hope Farm junction in Whitefield, Bengaluru, has prompted demands for action against the neglect of live wires by BESCOM. The incident occurred when the woman stepped on a wire assumed to be a harmless fibre-optic cable. Three BESCOM workers have been detained in connection with the tragedy.
