A bit pedantic but not wrong - My bet is poorly manufactured or reloaded ammunition, Guns jam very frequently in brazilian videos and now that I think about it I don't think i've seen a gun fail to fire outside brazil (in death videos only not in general) except shitty homemade pipe shotguns etc.

Hard to say - Could be a case of "if you try run we will flay you alive and pull your intestines out etc" Or maybe "try run and we will kill your whole family"..
Safe to say no matter what he did at that point he was going to die without a chance of fighting back so it really makes no difference to him, perhaps before the video there was some opportunity to escape but he still had hope of not being shot.
