Personally I don't believe the fertilizer explosion in Beirut was an accident. But that notwithstanding it was a one-off. The explosion in China was even bigger, even magnitudes bigger than the residential towers in the footage. And those are already pretty tall. Even whole oil refineries don't blow up like that. I suspect weapons. And the government doesn't want to admit that they were there. Or it was an attack. But nobody claimed responsibility. I was totally waiting for that.

I think the china exposion looks bigger because it's a night and there's a huge fireball potentially from other chemicals - it was only 800 tonnes apparently while beirut was nearly 3000 tonnes both ammonium nitrate.
Ammonium nitrate combusts very quickly hence the huge shockwave, think about how hollywood explosions are a huge fireball and real explosions are more an instant flash and cloud of dust/debris.

The way the fence separates and flys towards the camera man looks super vfx, I can’t believe that shitty ass camera picked up that small of a detail. A detail you don’t even see much in low quality videos like this.
