longer version

Recently, Mr. LVP (born 1968, in residential group 11C, Song Cau ward, Bac Kan city , Bac Kan province), security guard at Bac Kan Provincial General Hospital, fell from the 7th floor to the 3rd floor railing and died. while trying to dissuade and bring depressed patients with suicidal thoughts to a safe area.

Talking to PV VietNamNet, Mr. Ngo Van Vi, Head of Residential Group 11C, said: "Mr. P. has a wife, Mrs. LTĐ (born 1965) and 2 daughters. Mr. P.'s wife is a retired teacher. The first daughter graduated from school to work in Hanoi, the second daughter is in her second year of university.

According to Mr. Vi, Mr. P.'s family moved from Cho Don district to Bac Kan city to live about 3 years ago. Mr. P. had just applied to work as a security guard at the Provincial General Hospital for more than a year when the incident occurred. Before that, Mr. P. worked as a freelancer, did not have a stable job, and his family was in difficult circumstances.

“Recently, Mr. P. asked me about borrowing money from the bank to support my second daughter's education. Seeing the difficult situation, I guided him through the loan procedures.

Mr. P.'s wife retired and only stayed at home to be a housewife. For more than a year now, Mr. P. has been able to get a job and last Tet he received a bonus of more than ten million. He was very happy, and his Tet shopping was done well, but since returning here, Mr. P.'s family has suffered a lot," Mr. Vi shared.

According to Mr. Vi, Mr. P. lives a very chivalrous life and is loved by everyone. "Even though he had no economic conditions, he would help anyone who was in trouble. Having no money, he would help with his strength and labor...

Hearing the news of Mr. P.'s death , everyone was extremely surprised, everyone mourned for a man who was enthusiastic in his work and lived a loyal life with his neighbors, but was so short-lived," Mr. Vi said chokingly.

In order to share the loss with Mr. P.'s family, Mr. Ngo Van Vi and his neighbors came to burn incense, visit, and offer condolences to the victim's family.

Previously, at about 10:20 a.m. on March 2, Mr. P. discovered that a PVM patient on the balcony of the 7th floor, building B of Bac Kan Provincial General Hospital intended to commit suicide. Seeing this, Mr. P. took measures to protect the patient's safety.

While performing his duties, at about 10:40 on the same day, Mr. P. fell from the railing on the 7th floor of building B to the 3rd floor of the building and died.

That 'security guard' looked like a good example of an old man that thinks he's still 'got it'. It's coming to us all I guess.

Now the person he tried to save is going to feel guilty for the rest of their life… however long that is.

The cause of the fall was tight muscles. First, the security guard didn't have enough flexibility to swing his left leg over the railing. As he very carefully balanced on the rail, he struggled to maneuver his left foot over. However, when his foot got clear, it popped out, which threw his center of gravity unrecoverably forward.

Maybe he was planning on killing himself the same day and didn't want anyone stealing his thunder.
