Kota, India. A 20 year old medical aspirant Ishanshu Bhattacharya from West Bengal died after falling from the sixth floor of his hostel building in the Jawahar Nagar area. Ishanshu Bhattacharya lost his balance and fell on the aluminium railing of a balcony which couldn't take his weight and broke. He walked back to the edge of the balcony to put on his slippers, and leaned against the safety mesh while doing so.
But the mesh gave way and Bhattacharya fell through the opening after losing his balance.
He fell from the sixth floor of the building and died on the spot, adding that he was declared dead by a hospital. Bhattacharya, a resident of Dhupguri in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district came to Kota in August last year and was preparing for medical entrance exam NEET. Bhattacharya along with three of his hostel mates was talking in the balcony on the building's sixth floor around midnight, when the accident happened.
Bhattacharya body has been sent to the mortuary of MBS hospital for postmortem.

I'm saying why would you lean on a wall in India do they not see the news stories of their shoddy construction jobs and people dying? There is no OSHA over there so maybe don't lean on a thin mesh grate that's probably got screws that don't go deep enough to secure it.

Well im assuming since not everybody has autism they don't instinctively think “maybe don't lean on a wall because of safety regulations in my country”, more than likely went his entire lifespan without having to worry about that and in this case it's just a freak accident; even if somewhat common on this website, you must remember India is a country of a billion plus, just because we see a few cases of bad building structure doesn't mean that's all they see
