One died in a fire in Lahti - jumped from the sixth floor balcony
The fire started in an apartment building.
One person has died in connection with a building fire on Metsäpellontie in Lahti. The rescue service was alerted about the fire at 20:29.
Regional fire chief Jani Aaltonen says that the fire started in an apartment building. One person died after jumping off the apartment's balcony.
According to the police, the man jumped from the sixth floor balcony.
According to Aaltonen, the fire has already been extinguished, and the clearing is underway.
