The Joelma building was a famous case in Brazil, I'm Brazilian, it happened in the 70s, due to poor maintenance of the building's electrical wires, dozens of people died that day, over the years the building was renovated and became a gallery of different offices , there are reports of supernatural events too, the building's atmosphere is still dark. Today, the building has been renovated and is called "Praça da Bandeira". interesting fact: 13 people were found, never identified, incinerated inside an elevator, they are known as "The 13 Souls of the Joelma Building", the names, documents or anything that would lead to the identification of the victims were never found, they were buried in a cemetery with the same title, and it is very common for people to visit the tombs and leave a glass of water for the souls that were burned that day.
