I know a guy who went cliff jumping, and he landed on a rock no one saw underwater.
He's a quadriplegic, and I honestly think he'd have rather died. Every time I visit he mentions it, I don't blame him, but it's very depressing when seeing him.

I did this a few times, the cliff in question has been wildly used since the 50's and instead of angling out (like the cliff here) it angles in, it's about 2-4 stories tall (depending on where) and has about 60 feet deep of water after it. Don't be stupid.

That is a long way to fall and surface tension is not your friend. At least the rock hit was a glancing blow and not a dead stop. He could live if the proper amount of pure luck, but only if they rush over and get him out before drowning too. He is definitely jacked up if not dead.

He may have hit is head and got a concussion. Probably a bunch of broken bones and impacted organs. Followed by hitting the water from that height which may feel like landing on cement. Ironically, the rock may have eased his impact with the water.
