Not a psych expert or anything, but in my own experiences, when i was younger, as age <22, i would see stuff like this and think its so cool and i want to be cool, too, so id do it, too. Now that im a little older and a little wiser l no longer see any value in risk taking. Getting injured is so easily even doing mundane tasks (as an example getting on the bus 2 years ago i badly injured my knee and couldnt walk for months) and the only valid reason i see jumping off of a cliff is to escape a worse danger up there or save someone down there.
