Why is most women's reaction to these things always to scream? Like,for me, I'm just wide eyed and speechless when I see something like this in real life. But why would a reaction be to scream if you're not involved and far away from it?

Its a responsce from our ancestors. E.g. if your ancestors saw an animal jump up at them, they would scream, not only could this have scared the monter, but also increases adrenaline levels, and this trait stuck on so whenever somehting shoking happenes we scream.
