My parents have a sliding glass door and we always keep it locked with the security bar in place so my son doesn't get out…it's on the ground floor and my kid is 7 🙄

Seriously! What I do has zero reflection on how I parent or how my children act. I'm not posting my kids on here, I'm not showing my kids this shit and they have no idea of the sick shit that goes on in the world other than what I do tell them for their safety. My children do know death too well for their ages but that couldn't be avoided. Other than that I am a whole person outside of being a mom, moms are allowed to have an identity or interests besides being a mom 🤦🏼♀️

Have you not seen dumb ass kids running into traffic looking at the vehicle that's about to hit them, or walking straight off a ledge into a swimming pool…? Children, with almost no capacity to use critical thinking, because their frontal lobe has not developed don't consider whether they will be harmed because of their choices.
