Context is that this guy was from a neighbouring country. They didn't like that. The question they ask him before tossing him over is whether he is from that country. I can't remember if it's Peru or something, but that's the context.

Yes. Many latinos are envious and jealous of one another when there is opportunity to be had. My wife has told me this and I've seen it here in the US. In this case the 2 Venezolanos were jealous of the other migrant from Peru. They all came to Colombia for a better life and to have a better economic situation. Truly sad. The Venezuelans are a scourge on Colombia.
