Any normal person would live the rest of their life with a terrible feeling of regret for killing their granddaughter - but then again, a normal person wouldn't stick their 3 year old granddaughter out the window. Anyone who has had a 3 year old knows you can't take your eyes off them (or better, let go of their hand) for a second - not if you want to keep them safe. Except possibly while they're in the sandbox in the back yard - even then they're liable to be eating cat poop the second you look away or at a phone...
