World Trade Centers "Jumpers" September 11, 2001 (Information In Thread)

Description/title from source

The following video is intended to be used only to illustrate the attacks on the World Trade Center at a ground level, beyond the images of the towers burning in the skyline. It revolves around the so-called "jumpers" falling to—and meeting their fate in—the ground. The term refers to people who die by trauma sustained due to falling from a large height. This video will be deleted as new footage is added.

All of the source videos are available in both YouTube and the Internet Archive websites.

My god, that last quote. Man, I was in 10th grade when this happened, and I'll never forget that afternoon, and how, as a 14 year-old, I couldn't fully understand how drastically those few hours would reshape the western world, forever… Oh yeah, and my Dad was supposed to be on that flight out of Boston, but he missed it because of traffic in the tunnel.

Just think, if this happened today then there would be people live streaming in the building as all this was happening. Now we can only imagine the environment in which makes a person take the leap. I personally would rather one last view of the city before instant death, rather than burning slowly to death.

Why they have to make a long building it's pointless

I canne remember who told me or if it's even true but wasn't is suspected that some of them had heart attacks and died before hitting the ground outta fear or at least pass out? One can only hope as I think I'd rather that than squish yk

Well this is a new level of dumb. Those people would've felt absolutely nothing as they hit the ground. Lights out. As opposed to having your heart painfully attacking you. Besides, do you think heart attacks are instant? They taking longer than the fall. Like dude... try a little harder to think.

You're like those suicidal people who think burning yourself is a good idea

I feel like you completely read over the part where I was basically taking it with a pinch of salt anyways? You're like those people who get defensive really quickly & insult because they're not heard out irl :marseyspirit::marseyembrace:

I'd heard about footage of the jumpers and seen aftermath photos, but this is my first time seeing the actual footage. I can't imagine how terrified they all must've been 💔.

I'm sorry but the jumpcut from the panicking couple first noticing someone falling to the quieter shot of the ground is so funny for some reason.
