I wouldn't want to be that rescuer. I know it's not his fault but it must feel pretty shitty to have someone slip through your arms and fall to their death

Maybe there's more to add to the story. The rescuer had his harnesses already secured and yet it gave the impression that he was placing his weight on the victim as his feet seemed to rest on the unfortunate man.
So much weight could have contributed to the man getting loose and making his life depend on a single man to whom he was not properly tied with harnesses yet.

Poor dude. Probably wanted to commit to it, but then probably had a sense of relief after the (attempted) rescue, only to plummet to his death. Damn. The emotions everyone there must have felt, especially the victim and the rescuer. Ah well, in the words of the great Captain Price, "Mission Failed. We'll get them next time!"

This is an old video of suicide peruvian man, he just attempted to jump but rescuers came to help, anyways it was too late... The suicide man could assert itself but didn't according the witnesses, he could try to help in any way to survive, but it was just dead weight... If you look closely, the other people are trying to grab his arms, but he just didn't help so he slip trought his cloth. Rescuer try his best for sure.
