He should have been left with a permanent memory of what he did.
I say this, because most people don't realize that keying a car can drop the value of the car by $10,000.
You can repaint the car, costing you up to several thousand,
BUT, the car will never be the same.
A new paint job won't have NEARLY the durability of the factory paint job,
which is BAKED on when the car is only a bare frame.
After even a good new paint job, this new paint just won't last like the original, and anybody knowing the car has been repainted, won't pay as much for it.

And I think she earned her living that way not from being desperate for cash - but because she liked the excitement and attention and sex.
She, much later, told me that the more a guy paid her, the more she got turned on.
But I should have known about her. The first words she said to me when I saw her come out of a nightclub: I asked her if she wanted a ride - and she answered: "I'd rather ride you."
