Africa is going from being exploited by Europeans to being exploited by the Chinese. I’m really interested in seeing how that’ll compare.

But this time the Africans agree and sign contracts.

Last time they couldn´t read and write and they didn´t even know what a contract is. Today they know, atz least the people in charge. But all they see is the short term gain. They don´t plan for the long game.

You really think these workers are the ones with the power and education to sign these supposed new contracts?

No, and with no word I suggested that. Or do you think I meant the workers are the ones in charge?

When I read "the Africans agree" I thought you meant all of them including the workers.

I meant it as in the nations negotiating and signing the contracts. I refered to their leaders as the people in charge and thought that was clear enough.

The only choices the workers have is to quit and do whatever they did before or they could riot but I guess that could be dangerous in these countries.
