Cop Knees Suspect After Getting Spit On

A Denver police corporal who pleaded guilty in March to misdemeanor menacing in connection with an assault of a handcuffed man while working off-duty security has resigned.

Michael Oestmann resigned July 24, said Jay Castillas, a police spokesman.

Oestmann was charged with assault, but the March plea agreement led to the lesser charge and to probation. The plea deal allowed Oestmann to continue to carry a gun at the discretion of the police department.

Idk if this is some cultural thing, but growing up, my family taught that spitting on someone is one of the most disrespectful things you can do. If someone spits on you, you come back at them with overwhelming force. I get this secondhand rage when I see people getting spit on, watching this retard getting KO'ed was very cathartic. Fortunately, it's never happened to me, I'd probably do something stupid and get myself thrown into prison...

Legally speaking, spitting on someone fits under assault or battery in most states- some have laws about intentionally getting your bodily fluids on someone else. It is a crime, but selling it to a judge/jury that kneeing a cuffed man in the face was appropriate is... a bit much.

I think the cop could've grabbed the retard and slammed him onto the ground, and he would've been within the law still- they'd have to get one of those spit masks for the retard. He could have some communicable disease in his spit.

I've seen some doctors and nurses get spit on before. It's much more cathartic to me to tie people down for hours and hours and let them scream and spit themselves dry. When they finally settle down enough the nurse might give them water. Someone would have to change their NPO order, I'm scared of the guy so obviously I'M not the one going in there to assess him.

edit: actually now that i think about it i'll usually just order a motion sickness patch for them and have them go on Haldoliday while its put on, can't spit if you're not producing saliva hehehe
