I remember when I got this happen on a part of my right hand, the true pain happens later, during the healing process and rebuild of all those crushed nerves, its like that pain we get when we hit our elbow nerve by accident, except that the burning feeling will not go away during the whole days and nights, I had to get drugged so I could sleep.

I forgot to mention, my index, middle and ring fingers ended up losing near 20% of their mobility, I cannot play music instruments properly anymore, goodbye to my piano lessons...
